Peer evaluation- Assignment #4

I have been looking through my peers work and I decided to evaluate Maryan's assignment.

Maryan i thought overall you had good qualities in your answer, but there were a few things I felt unsure about. You had good use of information but there was some main points you missed, I think you could of added a bit more detail to your answers. I think you could of done an opening sentence that introduces how you feel about the present and made another paragraph about what you think the world will experience in the future. Your closing sentence was still a point you had stated "hopefully in the future we find ways to solve this disease! :) " this should have not closed it you should have made your point again remember what Miss. Biggar said in English class with the paragraph writing notes.

Anyway Maryan you did good so please don't let my advice bring you down. Next time look back to your assignments.

Assignment #3

There have been many changes in not only Canada, but the whole world since 1509.
Our technology has definitely gone better, the world had no laptops, computers and ipods back then, and now look we have every technology you can possibly name. Geography has changed as well. Before we had less intelligent people to create things for our geographical area. We had no maps to know where we are or where we are headed. Now we have maps that are taken to another level, for example GPS systems. Peoples minds have reimbursed, we have people that create and manufacture all the gadgets that grab the consumers eye. All that comes from a persons interpretation. Political violence has changed to. Back then the government did not agree on things as much as they do now. Before if you disagree on something it will lead to war, and now they think it through and have much more discussions and they make choices that they wouldn't have to regret they made later on. Now enough about the past and the present lets look in to the future. What do we think will happen in the year of 2109.

The year of 2109 i think will be fascinating. I think we will have fictional things taking care of us for example mechanical robots will be doing our chores and take care of us so we have less things to do and make the job easier for us. Technology will take on a higher level, for example all cars will run on electricity instead of oil so it can make the environment a better place. Politics will be excepted to all races for example even if a black person is president right now, they still have to deal with criticism but in the future that will not be accepted. Medical scientists will come up with cures for the diseases that have not yet been dealt with like cancer, aids etc. There will not be war in countries that have not yet solved their problems. All natural disasters might accure in one time all together causing a huge crisis (god forbid).

The world can not be changed by itself ,it will need to be changed with our cooperation and nourishment. We will need to stand together as a world and make our home a better place to live. You never know everything may not go as you want it to go. I am quite sure there will be some rough time and some good times, but on the long run we will make the earth a exceptional, distinguished place to call home.

Welcome, to my blog everyone. I am a grade 8 student in Ottawa,Canada. My class will be doing our history assignments on blogger, because sometimes you need to get away from a text book and have some fun with what you are learning. I think its great that we are doing this, I find it very creative and different from other schools. I am very excited because I love using computer for assignments, and now we get to do our whole history coarse on which is even better.

Hope you enjoy:)
